The World Sports Photography Awards are back for 2027 — free to enter, open worldwide to photographers at any level, and sponsored by Canon.
Twenty-four sports categories accept up to ten images shot between December 2025 and November 2026, judged by a panel drawn from sport, media, photography and the creative industry. The 2026 edition drew entries from 123 countries across more than 60 sports, so this is a genuinely global stage.
New for 2027: the Canon Emerging Talent award is now open to photographers under 25 — a real opening for young shooters, since access in sports photography tends to follow reputation.
The prize is recognition and exhibition and publication on a global platform. Deadline: November 23, 2026.
