Onewater, together with UNESCO’s World Water Assessment Programme and the UN Environment Programme, invites photographers worldwide to document the hidden intersections of water, ecosystems and human life. ‘Out of Sight’ wants photo stories — clean rivers and dignified toilets, the unseen work of wastewater surveillance, blue spaces, safe drinking water, or sports on the water.
Free to enter, open to all ages and nationalities, with a $9,000 prize pool: the $6,900 Global Wastewater Award and a $2,100 Youth Award for photographers 25 and under. The strongest stories are exhibited in the 2027 Walk of Water exhibitions and published with media partners worldwide. Deadline: November 30, 2026.
